Blackfilm.com has learned that Sofia Vergara, Aisha Hinds, Ion Overman, Ronreaco Lee have been added to Tyler Perry's Madea Goes To Jail.
The Lionsgate comedy centers on Madea (Perry), whose penchant for trouble-making lands her behind bars. She comes to the rescue of Candy (Pulliam), a fellow inmate preyed upon by a large woman named Big Sal. Luke is on track to play Joshua, an attorney who has a past with Candy.
Vergara, who appeared in 'Tyler Perry's Meet The Browns' opposite Angela Bassett, will be playing a different character this time around. She will play TT, Madea's cell mate.
Overman, who guest-starred in 'Pensacola: Wings of Gold' and 'Shasta McNasty,' co-starred in 'Norm,' 'For Your Love' and appeared in the telefilm 'The Little Richard Story', will play Linda, Derek Luke's fiance.
Hinds, who was featured in 'Assault on Precinct 13' with Laurence Fishburne, is actually r  eplacing Salli Richardson as the DA of Atlanta and a friend of Derek Lukes'character.
Lee, who has had various TV credits on shows such as 'Sister Sister', 'Moesha' and 'All About The Andersons', will play Chuck, Derek Luke's co - worker and best friend.
Already cast in the film are Tyler Perry, Keisha Knight Pulliam, Derek Luke and David and Tamela Mann. |
