Synopsis: A young African American businessman gets more than he bargained for when he strikes a deal with a co-worker in Strictly Business. Waymon Tinsdale III (Joseph C. Phillips) is climbing the corporate ladder at a major real estate development firm as fast as his Ivy League degree will take him. Bobby (Tommy Davidson) is working in the mailroom and hoping a brother will give him a boost into the company’s broker training program, but the aristocratic executive and the Harlem born hipster have little in common. When Waymon falls for the gorgeous Natalie (Halle Berry), he has no way to connect with her—until he learns that she and Bobby are old friends. Bobby proposes a trade: He’ll introduce Waymon to Natalie in exchange for a recommendation to the training program. Waymon immediately agrees, but to join Bobby and Natalie’s world, he’ll have to learn to be “black” from the ground up.
