Casting process begins

In 2005, Fox Searchlight bought the rights to "Notorious," an upcoming biopic about slain rapper Notorious B.I.G. Now they are putting out a nationwide hunt for someone to step up and play the legendary rapper.

Christopher Wallace aka Biggie Smalls (The Notorious B.I.G) was shot to death in March, 1997, at the age of 24, outside a Los Angeles music industry party. The casting process and producing the film will be done by Wallace's mother, Voletta Wallace, and his two former managers, Wayne Barrow and Mark Pitts.

George Tillman will direct the film, and Reggie Rock Bythewood (Biker Boyz) is the screenwriter.
