RUN’S HOUSE is a reality sitcom about Hip-Hop’s First Family. Joseph Simmons is Run from Run DMC – rap icon, husband, father, preacher and businessman. He’s back in the studio recording his first ever solo album, but the rapping may be the easy part. Being left in charge of the house while his wife, Justine, tends to business in the city? Teaching anger management to a grade-schooler? That’s hard. It’s Run’s House, but the Simmons family is full of personalities so there’s not much peace and quiet for Reverend Run.

Who would have ever thought that Run (Joseph Simmons) of the famous rap group Run-DMC would have exploited his family and get a reality series much like the Osbornes, the Hogans and Whitney and Bobby. Yet, with this family and there's a lot of brood here, you get something genuine and emotional. Though at times, you may feel that certain parts of the shows are playing up to the camera but for the most part what you get is something similiar to the Brady Bunch, but in a good way. The gist of what you see and learn is that although one may have been born with a silver spoon, he or she doesn't get to keep for it has always belonged to someone else. Run makes it loud and clear that nothing is free and folks have to earn what they get, including his kids. Lessons are learned in this reality show, with more to come.
