The 4th Season kicks off with a screening and afterparty in New York City

Last night HBO threw a fabulous party to celebrate the return of The Wire, which begins its 4th Season this Sunday, September 10th. The screening was held at Chelsea West Cinema in NYC with the afterparty at Chinatown Brasserie. Many of the series cast and crew were on hand to watch the first episode.

Among the cast and crew there were Executive Producer, Creator David Simon, Writer Ed Burns, Aidan Gille, Andre Royo, Corey Parker Robinson, Diedre Lovejoy, Domenick Lombardozzi, Glynn Turman, Hassan Johnson, Jamie Hector, JD Williams, Lance Reddick, Michael K. Williams, Seth Gilliam, Sonja Sohn, Anwan Glover, Christopher Mann, Clarke Peters, Felicia "Snoop" Pearson, Gbenga Akinnagbe, Hassan Johnson, Brandy Burre, Jim True-Frost, Robert Wisdom, Chad Coleman, Frankie R. Faison, Isiah Whitlock, Jr., John Doman, Reg E. Cathey, and the "new kids on the block" - Jermaine Crawford, Maestro Harrell, Julito McCullum, and Tristan Wilds.

Among the celebrities in attendance were Spike Lee and wife Tanya Lewis, Brandy, Method Man, "Invincible" actor Nicoye Banks, S. Epatha Merkerson, Sylvia Miles, "The Cheetah Girls" Director Deborah Gregory, "Desperate Housewives" and "My Brother" actor Nashawn Kearse.

The Peabody Award-winning drama series THE WIRE kicks off its 13-episode fourth season SUNDAY, SEPT. 10 (10:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT), exclusively on HBO.
