Zeta-Jones and Banderas Back for Another Swashbuckling Adventure

Designed with tiny tykes in mind, The Legend of Zorro is a kid-friendly sequel to The Mask of Zorro, the 1998 swashbuckling adventure which turned Catherine Zeta-Jones into a household name. The Oscar-winning actress (for Chicago) is back for another go-round as the lovely Elena, while Antonio Banderas reprises his title role as the dashing black-hatted, black-masked and black-caped sword-wielding avenger with the alter ego Don Alejandro de la Vega.

Since weıve seen them last, Elena and Alejandro have married and had a son, Joaquin (Adrian Alonso), a precocious lad who is already 10. Because of his devotion to fighting injustice, Alejandro finds himself abandoned by his wife, who leaves him for the arms of the dastardly Count Armand (Rufus Sewell).

What Elena doesnıt know is that the Count has a plan to destroy not only California, but the entire United States with nitro-glycerin. Will Zorro, with the help of his son, figure out a way to foil the plot and get back his bride? Take a guess.

The ludicrous plot and special effects featuring cartoon physics means The Legend of Zorro is strictly for those under the age of eight or so.
