Freddie Highmore news

While speaking about "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", which comes out on July 15th, Freddie Highmore revealed that he will be starring in the animation and live-action film, "Awful End". The film will be directed by Francis Lawrence (Constantine) and begin shooting sometime this September. "Awful End" is based on the novel by Philip Ardagh, and the screenplay is written by Matthew Huffman. Warner Bros. will release the film in 2007.

"Awful End" is the story of an 11-year-old British boy whose parents become ill and he finds himself in the questionable care of "Mad Uncle Jack" and "Mad Aunt Maud." The relatives subsequently turn him over to St. Horrid's Home for Grateful Orphans, where he falls in with a group of other orphans and stages a break out.
