Once titled, Down & Under, the movie, Kangaroo Jack follows
two best friends, played by Jerry O’Connell and Anthony Anderson on
an adventure through the Australian outback. This comedic duo finds
trouble quicker than trouble can find them. Their seemingly endless
search for the Kangaroo, “Jackie Legs,” makes for a fun-filled journey,
that children are sure to enjoy. Although O’Connell and Anderson could
definitely be considered an Abbot & Costello of 2003, they are upstaged
by the terrific incorporation of the Kangaroo. Families will surely
love the film, as there is something for everyone. The potty humor
does not go too far and the love scenes are G-Rated. It is my hope
that this film performs well, if for nothings else, but to see Jerry
O’Connell and Anthony Anderson get another opportunity to show off
their obvious chemistry and perhaps get a photo op on one of the promotional
posters! |
