ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES "So broad are the oceans, So high are the mountains." What does that statement mean to you? To most it may mean nothing, but what we hope you garner from this statement is that in the United States of America, the sky is the limit for its citizens. In this country, you can earn a living, hit 70 home runs in one season, raise a family, and oh yes, you too, can become a movie star. We can only be appreciative of the people that pushed Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke towards the acting world. In the much anticipated film, "Training Day," Hawke and Washington, accompanied by rap icons, Dr. Dre. and Snoop, deliver performances that unquestionably are some of the finest you will see this year. While the story is not true, it does dive into the world of the infamous LAPD undercover crash units that consistently abused the civil liberties of LA citizens. We simply hope that you have decided to place your fears aside and will venture to your local theater to see this film and others. Remember, this is America and you not only have the freedom to go to the movies this weekend, you can stare at the silver screen, dream inside and believe that one day, you too can be on that screen. At some point in their early years, Denzel and Ethan definitely thought, "So broad are the oceans, So high are the mountains…I can do this."
