September 12, 2001 ONE NATION Tuesday's tragic events in New York City and Washington D.C. have dealt our nation a tremendous blow. We sincerely offer our prayers to the families, friends and colleagues of those who lost their lives and to those suffering from injuries, mentally and physically. The blackfilm.com offices are located within walking distance of the once mighty structures. Without question, it deeply saddens us that the crown jewels of American prosperity have been replaced by empty sky, dust, debris and far too many casualties. Hollywood, Wall Street, Washington, U.S. Education and our Transportation Systems - the Diamonds of American life were halted, but the American spirit has been energized. Watching "all" Americans join together yesterday to help the wounded and protect life was a beautiful vision in the face of horror. Even embattled Mayor Rudy Giuliani stepped in, got dirty and helped. We just hope that the spirit displayed yesterday continues as the nation rebuilds New York, Washington restructures the defense and the citizens unite as one.
