September 21, 2001 ONE NATION The tragic events of Tuesday, September 11, 2001 in New York City and Washington D.C. have dealt our nation a tremendous blow. We sincerely offer our prayers to the families, friends and colleagues of those who lost their lives and to those suffering from injuries, mentally and physically. The blackfilm.com offices are located within walking distance of the once mighty structures. Without question, it deeply saddens us that the crown jewels of American prosperity have been replaced by empty sky, dust, debris and far too many casualties. Hollywood, Wall Street, Washington D.C., U.S. Education and our Transportation Systems - the Diamonds of American life were slowed, but the American spirit has been energized. Watching "all" Americans join together to help the wounded and protect life has been a beautiful vision in the face of horror. Even embattled Mayor Rudy Giuliani has stepped up and quieted some of the cities fears. We just hope that the spirit of now continues forever as the nation rebuilds New York, Washington D.C. restructures the defense and the citizens unite as one.
